Letter from the Government

Kindly take note that KPM (Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia) has acknowledged our request to release schools to attend this event. However, they have ammended the terms and conditions to which they want non-Christians to benefit from this Leadership Seminar as well, hence; they have requested for a separate seminar for students and teachers to attend in the afternoon (after school hours for Form 3-Form 6) students.
The 25 schools that will be getting this release letter for Konvensyen Generasi Muda 1 Malaysia from 2-4.30pm (conducted by Ps. Lee Burns & Ps. Josh Kimes from Hillsong Australia) are:

This seminar will not be Christian based since the Education Ministry wants non-Christian students and teachers to participate as well.

PLEASE NOTE THAT the final decision for students to attend the morning seminar (for Christians- UNITE+ CONQUER from 8am-12pm) will come from their respective parents as the school principals have the decision whether or not to participate in this programme.

Since the ammendment has been changed, we do not have any letter of approval from JPN for the morning (UNITE + CONQUER) seminar for Christian students.

DESCRIPTION OF SESSIONS

Read the description and choose which session will suit you best.

1. Leadership Management

This session will be about managing a church, organization or ministry effectively and how to take it to a new level. It will also include management of people and building an effective senior team in your church, organization or ministry. This session will be most suitable for senior ministers, pastors, elders and those who hold senior roles in the ministry.

It will be conducted by Pastor Lee Burns, who has been a Pastor in Hillsong Church for over 10 years and is now the Principal of Hillsong College. His humour and fire will enlighten, teach and infect you with a fire for God.

2. Youth Leadership

This session is for all Youth Pastors, youth leaders, youth workers and everyone who serves in youth ministry. It will give you the 'know-hows' of youth ministry, working with challenging teens, managing and growing a youth ministry, being relevant and effective in youth ministry.

It will be conducted by Pastor Josh Kimes, who has been serving in Hillsong Church as the Fuel Pastor, (high school) ministry. He is a great communicator, passionate and he will inspire and catapult you to greater heights.



3. Emerging Leaders

This session is for everybody who has a passion to serve and be involved in ministry of any kind. It will give you the fundamentals of ministry, how to identify the call of God on your life, realizing and maximising your potential and impacting a generation. This session is most suitable for students, new Christians and people desiring to go into the ministry.

It will be conducted by Esther Donnely, a key leader and vocalist with the Hillsong band. She has appeared in a few album recordings and will give you insights to knowing the call of God on your life.


4. Worship & Creative Arts

This session is for musicians, singers, songwriters, dancers, actors, production crew (sound, lighting, video) and worship leaders. It will cover team dynamics, team building, team management, team growth and how to include drama and dance in church to preach the gospel.

It will be conducted by the band members of Hillsong team from Australia, who is serving in Hillsong Church and Hillsong College.

We will be calling you to confirm your spot as a volunteer and if you could not make it for the briefing last week but still want to volunteer, you are welcomed to join us this Friday.
